Why add smoothies to your meal plan or use them for a meal replacement?

Most of us do not eat enough fruits or vegetables daily to nourish our body. Keep in mind we want to choose ingredients that are low in sugar, high in fibers, protiens, & vitamins. If  adding a protein powder choose a vegan protein one. They don’t cause bloating, have a complete amino acid profile for the best protein absorption. Even if you have a steak a day you may still be falling short on protein.

Use high sugar fruits & vegetables sparingly, you don’t have to eleminate them, just no more than a handful. Also quantity, yes portion matters. Think of it this way, you wouldn’t eat a WHOLE Pineapple at once, so do NOT blend & drink that much, imagine the tummy ache… Unless you are prefreezing smoothies for the week of course! ( Blend & place serving in Ziplock in freezer)

Smoothies are not a “diet” they should provide you with nutrients, fill you up & give you energy. They are a delicious way to enjoy our fruits & vegetables. A part of your daily food plan also count towards your daily water intake & Carrots are 90% water! These 7 or wait 8 a Bonus recipe! Carrot smoothie recipes not only taste great they will fill you up, supply energy, leading to weight loss burning fat. You can even super charge your smoothie with a smart product to increase these benefits!
